About Conchita Miranda

Conhita Miranda was born in Barcelona Spain. A pharmacist by training she created in 2008 the foundation Sobre Ruedas to help poeple with cerebral palsy. The award-winning author and illustrator Mónica Carretero was born in Madrid but now lives in Segovia. She is self-taught and her colourful and vivid illustrations have received international recognition and she is now a very succesful illustrator of children's picture books. Conchita Miranda nació en Barcelona donde pasa su niñez y primera juventud. Poco después de terminar sus estudios de Farmacia se traslada a Madrid donde vive desde entonces. En 2008 crea la Fundación Sobre Ruedas para ayudar a personas con parálisis cerebral. La galardonada ilustradora e autora Mónica Carretero nació en Madrid pero ahora vive en Segovia. Es autodidacta y sus ilustraciones coloridas y vívidas han recibido el reconocimiento internacional y ahora es una ilustradora muy acertada de los libros ilustrados para niños.
