This book presents the findings from recent research into practices and applications of Target Value Delivery that is, setting budgets based on a building's functional requirements, and steering the budgets through the design and construction process. It demonstrates that budget setting can precede design solutions, and provide tools to the design team to deliver the project vision with the available funds. The authors lay out the processes involved in Target Value Delivery, explore the history, and present how different teams apply the principles in practice. The book is intended as a practical guide for practitioners building owners, designers, contractors, project managers and estimators and to provoke further study and development of the topic within the construction profession.
