About Mark Twain

Samuel L. Clemens (November 1835 - April 1910) known by his pen name Mark Twain was an American writer humorist journalist and lecturer. He is best known for his adventure stories of American boyhood. Jack Sparling (June 1916 - February 1997) was a Canadian comic illustrator. In the 1950s he illustrated two of Gilberton's Classics Illustrated; Robin Hood and Mark Twain's A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court.
