About Jules Verne

Jules Gabriel Verne (8 February 1828 24 March 1905) was a French writer who pioneered the science fiction genre. Notable amongst his works are 20000 Leagues Under the Sea Around the World in 80 Days and A Journey to the Centre of the Earth. Norman Nodel began his illustrious career as a field artist in the army drawing military maps during World War II. His association with Classics Illustrated began in 1954 and his first work was an adaptation of Van Tilburg Clarks classic The Ox-Bow Incident. His catalogue within the CI series is vast.
