About

N. R. Shetty is Chancellor of the Central University of Karnataka Kalaburagi and Chairman of the Review Commission for the State Private University Karnataka. He is currently serving as Advisor to the Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology (NMIT) Bangalore. He is also Founder and Vice-President of the International Federation of Engineering Education Societies (IFEES) USA. He served as Vice-Chancellor of Bangalore University for two terms and President of the ISTE New Delhi for three terms. He was also Member of the Executive Committee of the AICTE and Chairman of its South West Region Committee. Prof. L. M. Patnaik obtained his Ph.D. in 1978 in the area of real-time systems and D.Sc. in 1989 in the areas of computer systems and architectures both from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore. During March 2008 to August 2011 he was Vice-Chancellor Defence Institute of Advanced Technology Deemed University Pune. Currently he is Honorary Professor with the department of electronic systems engineering Indian Institute of Science Bangalore and INSA Senior Scientist and Adjunct Professor with the National Institute of Advanced Studies Bangalore. During the last 50 years of his long service his teaching research and development interests have been in the areas of parallel and distributed computing computer architecture CAD of VLSI systems high-performance computing mobile computing theoretical computer science real-time systems soft computing and computational neuroscience including machine cognition. In these areas he has 1286 publications in refereed international journals and refereed international conference proceedings.  H. C. Nagaraj obtained his B.E. degree in electronics and communication engineering securing first class with distinction from the University of Mysore in 1981. He obtained his M.E. in communication systems from P.S.G. College of Technology Bharathiar University in 1984 and secured first rank. He received his doctoral degree in the area of biomedical signal processing and instrumentation from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras in 2000. He assumed charge as Principal of Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology Bangalore in September 2003 and to date he is serving as Principal. He has about 38 years of experience in teaching research and administration. Dr. Nagaraj has published a number of papers in national and international journals and conferences and delivered invited talks in the field of biomedical signal processing image processing mobile communication etc. He has guided several students in their Ph.D. programs.     Dr. Venugopal K R Former Vice-Chancellor Bangalore University has served Bangalore University and UVCE for over the last five decades. He has 11 degrees with two Ph.Ds. one in Economics from Bangalore University and another in Computer Science Engineering from IITM Chennai. He received his ME degree in Computer Science Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science Bangalore. He has degrees in Electronics and Communication Law Journalism Public Relations Business Finance Industrial Relations Mass Communication and Economics. Presently he is pursuing Ph.D. program in Law. He served as a Chairman of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) South West Regional Office and as Principal of University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (UVCE) for Fifteen Years. He has published 102 books 1207 Research Papers with 40 granted patents. Awarded Ph.D. to 30 students guided informally 200 Research Scholars and supervised more than 800 Post Graduate dissertations in computer science engineering. He received the IEEE Fellow and ACM Distinguished Educator award from USA for his outstanding contributions to the field of Computer Science Engineering. He was a Post-Doctoral Research Scholar and Visiting Professor at University of Southern California USA. He served as a Special Officer to Government of Karnataka and restructured Bangalore University into four State Universities: (i) Bangalore University (ii) Bangalore City University (iii) Bangalore North University and (iv) University of Visvesvaraya College of Engineering on the model of IIT. The Bangalore University during his tenure as Vice-Chancellor (2018 - 2022) has been accredited by NAAC with A++ grade and score of 3.75 and stands first among the public universities in the country.     Dr. Nalini N is Professor (CSE) at Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology Bangalore. She received her M.S. from BITS Pilani in 1999 and Ph.D. from Visvesvaraya Technological University in 2007. She has more than 27 years of teaching and 20 years of research experience. She has numerous international journal and conference publications to her credit and received Bharath Jyoti Award by India International Friendship Society New Delhi Dr.Abdul Kalam Life Time Achievement National Award for excellence in teaching research publications and administration by International Institute for Social and Economic Reforms IISER Bangalore Distinguished Professor award by TechNext India 2017 in association with Computer Society of India-CSI Mumbai Chapter and Best Professor in Computer Science & Engineering award by 26th Business School Affaire Dewang Mehta National Education Awards (Regional Round) at Bangalore. She is one of the chief editors for ERCICA.
