Islam Islamov graduated with honors from the Faculty of Radio Engineering of the Azerbaijan Technical University majoring in radio equipment. From 2006 to 2011 he worked as the deputy dean for academic work of the Faculty of Radio Engineering and Telecommunication of the Azerbaijan Technical University and in 2017-2019 he worked as the director of the Science and Innovation department of the Azerbaijan Technical University. In 2001 he defended his candidate's thesis and in 2002 by the decision of the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan he received the degree of candidate of technical sciences. In 2008 by the decision of the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan he was awarded the academic title of assistant professor. He defended his doctoral dissertation on the specialty Telecommunications technology and received the degree of doctor of technical sciences professor in 2022 by the decision of the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Currently he is the author of more than 270 scientific and methodological works including 5 textbooks 4 monographs and 11 textbooks.
