Lion: Pride Before the Fall presents a stunning collection of wild lion photography with a clear, vital message - join the fight to protect Africa's last wild lions, or risk losing them forever. Conceived by critically acclaimed photographer George Logan, this remarkable wildlife book brings the plight of Africa's remaining lions into sharp focus. With its array of poignant, thought-provoking images, it celebrates the lifecycle of the lion in all its raw beauty and serves as a stark reminder of all that we stand to lose. Because with fewer than 20,000 African lions left, the time to act is now if we are to secure a future for this most iconic of species. George Logan has been following and photographing lion prides for the last ten years across Africa, including Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Malawi, Zambia, Botswana, Namibia and South Africa. Lion: Pride Before the Fall is the culmination of that journey. The profits from the sale of this book will support, protect and help re-establish the Last Lions of Meru in Kenya. Lion: Pride Before the Fall has been created in collaboration with The Born Free Foundation with a forward written by Virginia McKenna OBE, and includes contributions from Will Travers OBE, Caroline Ng'Weno and Kate Stephenson.

About
A long-time supporter of the Born Free Foundation George Logan is passionate about wildlife conservation and lions in particular. His work sees him travel extensively around the world and especially Africa photographing wildlife and documenting big-cat rescues. Always imaginative often poignant George's images are infused with his love of wildlife. As a boy he regaled classmates with tales of growing up on an African farm. Tall stories they may have been but that passion and imagination are clear to see in George's work today. Born Free founder and actress Virginia McKenna OBE said 'There are many wonderful wildlife photographers but no one in my view has more strikingly caught the multiple dimensions of lion behaviour and depth of character than George Logan.'
