After Jim's mother dies, Jim's father moves the family to Minerva Hall, a crumbling, desolate estate owned by the crotchety Lord Minerva. Jim hates his new home. He is bored and lonely-the only other kid around is his pesky little sister, Sal-and he misses his mother terribly. But soon, Minerva Hall reveals itself to be a place full of dark and dangerous secrets. Six children have died there.
