A leading poet in Maltese and English, Daniel Massa (b.1936) has published widely on Renaissance Humanism and Commonwealth Literature. In 2005 he chaired the Commonwealth Writers’ Prize. In 2013 he published a 900-page biography, PSI Kingmaker: Life, Thought and Adventures of Peter Serracino Inglott. Coinciding with CHOGM 2015, Barefoot in the Saltpans is a selection of Massa’s poetry, characterised by seascape imagery, gripping in its vividness and physicality.
