Addressing issues of environmental change from an Earth Science perspective, The Pace of Environmental Change brings together in a temporal framework evidence for changes at the Earth's surface provided by geology, geomorphology, hydrology, and oceanography. It evaluates the nature and rates of change under natural conditions and the role of human activity in modifying, and often accelerating, these rates.
