About David Pollock

Born 22 October 1949 David has drawn and painted for as long as he can remember. After a bachelor's in Chemistry and architecture a master's in architectural history and a long career in international trade David resolved to use his sketches and photographs as source material for a series of full-scale and mixed-media portraits. These depict a wide range of individuals and places. Whilst they are essentially topographical David sees them as an exercise in combining with strongly and freely applied watercolour and body colour. He seeks to combine wet-in-wet techniques and the free-running qualities of the medium with careful delineation of form.
