About

Moharana Choudhury is an Indian researcher and environmentalist. He is currently a research coordinator in the Environmental Research and Management Division of Voice of Environment (A Scientific and Environmental Research Organization) Guwahati Assam India. He has completed his education as an M Sc PGDGIS PGDEM and PGCGARD from Gurukul Kangri Deemed to be University Haridwar Uttrakhand India North Eastern Hill University(NEHU) Shillong Meghalaya India Tezpur University Assam India and National Institute of Rural Development (NIRDPR) Hyderabad India respectively. Choudhury has worked on various scientific projects in various Government departments and has more than 13 years of research and working experience in environmental research and services. He began his career as a Research Intern at the National Institute of Disaster Management in New Delhi followed by the North Eastern Space Application Center (Department of Space Government of India/ISRO Unit) as a Junior Research Fellow. Choudhury has authored or edited five (5) books with internationally reputed publication houses and more than thirty-six (36) articles in national and internationally reputed journals proceedings and more than (26) twenty-six book chapters. He has written many articles and scientific reports in popular magazines. He is working as an editor for various prestigious international publishing houses worldwide such as Elsevier Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) Springer Wiley CRC Press/Routledge group Apple Academic Press Cambridge Scholar Publishing etc. Choudhury is working on various environmental conservation activities in Assam and the country. He has worked on several initiatives to integrate environmentally sustainable projects for iconic heritage places wetlands and ecotourism spots in Assam India especially for cleanliness and beating single-use plastic pollution missions. He contributes to various environmental research management social media mass awareness and research studies. He is also well known in India for his efforts to implement environmental education and safeguard the privileges of environmental degree holders in India. Dr. Gopal Dixit is an accomplished Botanist educator and researcher with over two decades of experience in the field of Botany Ethnobotany and Environmental Sciences. He currently serves as the Head of the Department of Botany at Upadhi PG College Pilibhit India under MJP Rohilkhand University. Dr. Dixit has contributed significantly to academic research and has led numerous study projects aimed at advancing our understanding of plant sciences and their ecological applications. His passion for Botany led him to complete his Master of Science (MSc) in Botany in 1994 from MJP Rohilkhand University India. He continued his academic pursuits earning another MSc degree in Ecology and Environment in 2003 from Sikkim Manipal University India. His profound interest in scientific research culminated in his PhD in Botany from MJP Rohilkhand University in 2004. His doctoral research focussed on studying the effects of fertilizer wastes on plant growth root-knot disease development and biochemical changes in tomato plants a crucial area of study with significant implications for agricultural productivity and environmental health. Dr. Dixit has a distinguished career in teaching and research focusing on Botany Ethnobotany Plant Pathology Plant Physiology and Environmental Sciences. He is currently pursuing a D. Sc. in Botany. Dr Dixit has authored several text books and numerous research papers with notable contributions to the fields of plant sciences and environmental conservation. His work extends to various national and international platforms where he has presented research on topics such as the impact of Fertilizer factory effluents on the plant growth and the ethnobotanical practices of tribal communities in the Indo- Nepal sub Himalayan International border region of UP. In addition to his academic and research endeavours Dr. Dixit has secured patents in the field of agricultural technology including innovations in precision farming and weed control devices. His commitment to the sustainable management of natural resources is evident in his publications and projects which often explore the intersection of traditional knowledge and modern scientific practices. Dr. Dixit also actively engages in public education through his YouTube channel Study with GD Sir where he shares his expertise with a broader audience.  In summary Dr. Dixit is an esteemed botanist and educator whose extensive career in teaching and research has made significant contributions to the understanding of plant sciences ethnobotany and environmental studies. His leadership as the In-Charge of the Botany department at Upadhi PG College along with his ongoing research and outreach efforts ensures that his influence will continue to shape the field of Botany for years to come. Dr. Sushobhan Majumdar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography at Pandit Raghunath Murmu Smriti Mahavidyalaya (affiliated to Bankura University India). He is presently engaged in research on the design and development of environmental geographies. Urban geography social geography regional development and planning remote sensing and GIS and geography of transport are among his main areas of study. Additionally he is working on different development projects for the Government of West Bengal's Socio Economic Planning Unit of the Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA). He has more than 50 research papers published in a variety of reputable journals proceedings and edited volumes both nationally and internationally. He has already authored three edited volumes for Springer Nature and Routledge Group on urban-related issues.  He is now editor of various renowned publishing houses like Elsevier Royal Society of Chemistry Springer CRC Press AAP Press Wiley Cambridge Scholars Publishing etc. In excess of 30 national and international seminars and conferences both in India and overseas he has presented papers. He gave guest or special talks as part of numerous national and regional programs. He holds memberships in the Geographical Society of India the Regional Science Association of India (RSAI) the Institute of Indian Geographers (IIG) and the National Association of Geographers of India (NAGI).
