Painting with Hand, Head and Heart: A Natural Approach to Learning the Art of Painting

English

By (author): Van James

In Steiner-Waldorf schools around the world, painting is an essential part of the curriculum from the kindergarten through to Class 12 (3-18 years). Digesting history, geography, maths and the sciences through artistic work helps children to deepen comprehension and make the key aspects of everything learned more memorable.

Van James has captured in this book his years of Waldorf teaching experience to help students to build artistic skills. Engagement with colour, as well as the opportunity for self-expression, enhance a student's self-confidence and capacities for self-expression. This valuable resource offers teachers step-by-step approaches to help build their students' artistic confidence.

This inspiring resource will be a valuable addition to Steiner-Waldorf teachers' shelves.
