This new book by inclusion and UDL expert Patti Ralabate aims to dispel long-held myths that can limit educators views of student potential, provide opportunities for readers to reconsider their current perspectives on learning and student success, and offer strategies that will help educators create unbiased, culturally responsive, and truly inclusive learning environments for all students. Although the term inclusion is historically associated with learning environments for students with disabilities, True Inclusion with UDL is based on the assertion that consciously building inclusive learning environments and communities can be achieved by deliberately braiding several key conceptual and curriculum frameworks, such as culturally responsive pedagogy (CRP), UDL, and collaborative teamwork, creating an environment that is welcoming, respectful, engaging, and safe for each and every learner.
