About

Dr. Achintya Mukhopadhyay is Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Jadavpur University Kolkata (Calcutta) India. He also served as Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Madras. He also held visiting positions at Technical University of Munich where he was Alexander von Humboldt Fellow and University of Illinois at Chicago. His teaching and research interests include thermodynamics heat transfer combustion multiphase flows and thermal management of energy systems. He has over 350 research publications including 140 international journal publications. He is Associate Editor of Sadhana the Engineering journal of the Indian Academy of Sciences and published by Springer. He is Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences India the West Bengal Academy of Science and Technology and International Society for Energy Environment and Sustainability Recipient of INSA Teachers Award from Indian National Science Academy and Life Member of Indian Society of Heat and Mass Transfer and Indian section of the Combustion Institute. Dr. Koushik Ghosh is Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Jadavpur University Kolkata India. He received his Masters degree from Jadavpur University and worked in Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) Mumbai India. He did Ph.D. at Jadavpur University. He worked as Post-doctoral Researcher in Institut de Radioprotection et de Sûreté Nucléaire (IRSN) France. His teaching and research interests include thermodynamics heat transfer boiling and condensation multiphase flow transport in porous media and nuclear thermal hydraulics. He has published more than 50 research papers in various international journals in the area of heat and mass transfer and thermal engineering. He has also published several book chapters and more than 70 conference papers. He is Life Member of Indian Society of Heat and Mass Transfer.
