About David BohlkeHelen StephensonPaul DummettStephanie Parker
Stephanie started out as a teacher of English in the 1980s working at International House schools in Madrid and London. After a spell in lexicography that included editing the Oxford Spanish dictionary she stayed in publishing but moved across to course books. As a Commissioning Editor she learned the importance of producing materials that aren't just vehicles for language learning but also enrich our understanding of the world. Stephanie currently divides her time between Denmark and the UK working as a freelance writer and editor on a wide range of English language projects. Helen Stephenson first taught business English in the 1980s. She has written in-house training courses and a course for upper-secondary students. She teaches at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. Paul Dummett is a teacher and writer based in Oxford UK where he ran his own school teaching English to professionals from 1996 to 2006. He currently teaches refugee children in Palestine and Jordan with The Hands Up project. His main interests are the use of images and narrative in language teaching and how these can aid deeper learning and memory. Seeking out writing projects that explore these interests he has found a natural home at National Geographic Learning co-authoring titles such as Life and Keynote and acting as a Course Consultant for Look a seven-level primary series. He enjoys travel exercise and live music/spoken word performance. David Bohlke has over 30 years of experience as a teacher teacher trainer program director editor and materials writer. He has lived and worked in Japan Korea Singapore Australia Saudi Arabia and Morocco and has conducted multiple teacher-training workshops in Asia the Middle East Latin America Africa and the Pacific.
