About Kanchan Lala

Dr Kanchan Lala is a science and technology policy researcher and worked as policy researcher at the DST- Centre for Policy Research (DST-CPR) at the Indian Institute of Science. He holds an MPhil and a PhD from the Centre for Studies in Science Technology and Innovation Policy Central University of Gujarat India. His PhD thesis explores the role of academic incubators and start-ups in Indias innovation ecosystem and what role they play in technological and economic development. Kanchans research interest revolves around exploring the field of science technology and innovation studies in an effort to understand the role of universities in development discourse. He is also interested in exploring technology incubation academic entrepreneurship open innovation sustainable livelihoods formal innovation scientometric analysis global value chains and innovation systems.
