This book, 100 Years that Shaped the Countryside, shows the difference made by CPRE Peak District and South Yorkshire over the last 100 years.

When Ethel Haythornthwaite (then Gallimore) founded the Sheffield Association for the Protection of Local Scenery in 1924, she set in motion a constant battle for the countryside we enjoy today. These are some of the many successes celebrated in these pages.
