About Declan ConnollyRoy BensonRoy T. Benson
Roy Benson is an exercise scientist and former running coach. He coached professionally for 56 years working with military club university and school teams. Before selling the camps in 2014 Benson was the owner and president of Running Ltd. a company that operated Nike-sponsored summer camps for both adults and high school runners. Benson has also been consulted on heart rate training for both Polar and Nike and has written three running books on the subject. For over 25 years he was a special contributor to Running Times magazine and was a contributing editor for Running Journal magazine. His booklet Precision Running (Polar Electro) has sold over 200000 copies and has been translated into seven languages. ;;Dr Declan Connolly is a professor and exercise physiologist at the University of Vermont. He also consults to numerous sports organisations including the World Rugby Union Network NHL NFL U.S. Rowing and U.S. Skiing.
