Swing Kings

The story centres around a very shy and insecure young man recently graduated from university in Leeds. He lives with his controlling single mother who suffers from depression. He gets an offer from a company in London to be a part of their graduate programme but his mother disapproves and tries to keep him 'tied to her apron-strings.' But Michael, the main character in the story, takes the position against his mother's wishes after a big fall-out between them. In the job Michael makes friends with a group of guys who he works with that go by the self-proclaimed name of the 'Swing Kings.' This group of friends soon have Michael coming out of his shell when he is introduced to an alternative lifestyle where Michael discovers more about himself, as well as his so-called friends, involving drink, drugs and plenty of sex.
