Now I Can Sew

This book is the ideal introduction to hand sewing for children from the ages of eight and up. Most of the projects use felt as the base material because it comes in a wide range of colours, is easy to cut and doesn't fray; it can also be sewn using big needles that don't have to be razor sharp. Felt also has the advantage of being cheap and widely available. The book contains a section on tools and materials, as well as a section on techniques which include running, back and blanket stitch. Other techniques are covered in projects throughout the book.
