Pathology of Head and Neck Tumors: Case Studies from Asan Medical Center

The head and neck region contains the upper aerodigestive tract, salivary glands, eyes, ears, teeth, bone and soft tissue, where diverse uncommon tumors occur. This book represents a summary of the author's twenty-four-year tenure as a head and neck pathologist at Asan Medical Center, Seoul, South Korea. In this book, cases of various head and neck tumors are analysed, covering gross and microscopic pathologic findings, incidences by sites, subsites, ages, and genders, and associated clinical features. High-quality photographs and tabulated statistics of head and neck tumors are included, highlighting the epidemiological disparities between Eastern and Western nations and indicating some problems in the current World Health Organization classification system. This work will provide valuable insights for pathology trainees and hospital pathologists, and heighten curiosity and comprehension among medical personnel involved in head and neck oncology. See more
