Yen Rickeard was born in England but has lived on five continents so becoming aware of the diversity of human societies by experiencing many places and cultures around the world. With a first writing award obtained at age 15 Yen went on to gain an Honours Degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics and a postgraduate degree in Education. A wide variety of activities such as scuba-diving film-making mountain leadership and survival in the wild enriches Yen's outlook. An absorbing interest in ancient history was born out of how much of our landscape has been shaped by human activity as is still happening today. In rural England we are surrounded by the memories of our own rich heritage written in the landscape. Research into archaeological remains from the late Iron Age particularly those of the Parisi of East Yorkshire crystallised into the gripping Danny Sharp series 'Time and Again' a fast-paced action adventure peopled by vivid and varied characters richly informed by historical detail. 'Time and Again' tells of the adventures of Danny a modern teenager when we first meet him who finds himself transported back in time how he adapts to a strange new world and tackles the problems of finding his proper place in both worlds.
