Hermosos invisibles que nos protegen: Antología Wayuu

English

The hermosos invisibles (the beautiful invisibles) presented here by the Wayuu poet Vito Apüshana are the human and non-human beings that make up the territory, they embody the living and thinking territory. The literary expressions of the Wayuu people gathered here, express with more relevance than ever, the present time of all nations. The Wayuu ancestral territory is the Guajira peninsula and its adjacent areas that comprise part of Colombia and Venezuela at the northernmost point of the South American subcontinent. These are indigenous, Amerindian voices, from a wide geo-poetic Caribbean, a Greater Caribbean, also called Cariaban, where the sea, rivers, dunes, mountains, and jungles create networks that spread from the coasts and islands to the Orinoco basins and the Amazon.
