He is a Research Associate at FLACSO–Guatemala and a Fellow in the Comparative Research Programme on Poverty (CROP) at the University of Bergen (Norway).Karla Hernández Mares holds a B.A in International Relations (2005 Instituto Tecnólogico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey-ITESM Mexico) and a Master's degree in Human Rights and Democracy (FLACSO- Mexico City).
