About Sanjeev Kumar Sharma

Sanjeev Kumar Sharma has done MBBS and MD (Medicine) from University College of Medical Sciences Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital New Delhi. He received gold medal for best thesis in MD (Medicine). During his senior residency from Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) Chandigarh he developed keen interest in hematology. He did his DM (Clinical Hematology) from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi. He worked as Senior Consultant and Head of the Department in the Department of Hemato-oncology and Bone Marrow Transplantation at BLK-MAX Superspeciality Hospital New Delhi. Currently he is heading the Department of Hemato-oncology and Bone Marrow Transplantation at Venkateshwar Hospital Dwarka New Delhi. He has a vast experience in hematopoietic stem cell transplants spanning over 15 years. He has special interest in the management of hematological malignancies and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. He has more than 70 publications in peer-reviewed national and international journals and chapters in books. He is also the reviewer for various journals. He is also the author of the best selling hematology multiple choice questions book for medical graduates and hematology residents preparing for various entrance exams titled MCQs in Hematology. He is a great teacher and has trained DNB students Fellows and Registrars in clinical hematology and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Dr Sharma has also received the Best Citizen of India Award.
