This book will give an up-to-date and thorough exposition of the state of the art of concepts, design, and recent advances in nanobiotechnology-based strategies for cancer Immunotherapy, and their current and clinical status. Nanobiotechnology-based Targeted therapies and Immunotherapy have been added to the effective oncologic treatment and have become increasingly popular in oncology. It is intended to enable the researchers to prepare a variety of Nanobiotechnology-based strategies, investigate their properties, and discover their uses and applications in cancer immunotherapy.

The novelty of the approach is to address an existing need to understand exhaustively the potential of the nanotechnology-based approaches, including targeted and smartly designed therapies, that deliver loaded immunoreactive (s) into the body at predefined sites. The book will also discuss the patents related to cancer immunotherapy. Because of the versatility and wide range of properties, nanobiotechnology-based systems are extensively used in cancer immunotherapy. The task of obtaining a versatile candidate in immune component(s) delivery seems to be intricated, as it has to surpass several vigorous clinical barriers. As a result, many scientists rely on nanobiotechnology-based approaches, which have already been approved and well-established. Over the years, extensive research has been undertaken on the delivery of immunoreactive(s) using nanotechnology-based delivery systems. With advancements in nanobiotechnology, more needs are realized to develop nanoengineered/smart delivery systems with even more convoluted properties. Currently, research is mainly focused on nanoengineered systems, which can perform one or more of the desired functions.

The proposed book summarizes the basic principles and research supporting cancer immunotherapy clinical translation contains nanobiotechnology-based treatment strategies for all immunotherapy classes and agents, including cell-based therapies, monoclonal antibodies, cytokine therapies, checkpoint inhibitors, oncolytic viruses, adjuvant approaches, treatment combinations Includes information on all FDA-approved immunotherapies, for individual cancer types, including melanoma and other skin cancers, lung cancers, gastrointestinal cancers, hematologic cancers, genitourinary cancers, head and neck cancers, sarcomas, brain cancers, and breast cancer etc. Also explains the regulatory aspects behind the development and approval of immunotherapy drugs.

About

Dr. Rajeev Sharma is an Assistant Professor at the Amity Institute of Pharmacy Amity University Madhya Pradesh Gwalior India. He earned his B. Pharm M.Pharm and Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Dr. H. S. Gour Central University Sagar India. Dr. Sharma has approximately 13 years of experience in both teaching and industry. He has served as a Junior Research Fellow under AICTE an ICMR-SRF and a CSIR-RA Fellow during his research career and has worked as an Assistant Professor in academia and as a Senior Formulation Development Scientist in the R&D industry. Dr. Sharma has edited two international and two national books and has authored over 30 publications and 21 book chapters in international reference books. His work focuses on recent concepts in immunology nanobiotechnology novel drug delivery systems and targeted and controlled drug delivery of bioactives for the treatment of diseases such as cancer and diabetes. He is a life member of the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI). Dr. Sharma's work has been cited approximately 1200 times and he has an h-index of 17. The cumulative impact factor of his published papers is around 120 according to SCOPUS. He is currently working on a research project funded by the Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology (MPCST). Dr. Sharma has received several awards for his research including the Young Research Scholar award and various awards for best oral and poster presentations at national and international conferences. His current research interest is in nanocarrier-based targeted approaches for the effective delivery of bioactives. Dr. Vikas Pandey is working as Associate Professor in Amity Institute of Pharmacy Amity University Madhya Pradesh Gwalior India since July 2022. He has around 12 years of teaching and research experience.  He has more than 30 publications in International and National reputed journals in recent concept of novel drug delivery system polymeric drug delivery localized drug delivery targeted and controlled drug delivery of nanocarriers and microparticulate system for treatment of various cancers like lung cancer colon cancer brain cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. He has also written more than 20 book chapters for International publisher. He has also been granted 01 patent for his research. Dr. Pandey is having total citation more than 950; h- index 17 and i10- index 25. The total cumulative impact factor for his published papers is more than 85. He is working on one research project funded by Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology (MPCST). Dr. Pandey has qualified national level GATE exam twice i.e. in 2007 and 2008. He is a potential reviewer of various reputed international journals. Currently he is working on ligand mediated drug delivery and nanoparticulate system for the targeted and efficient drug delivery. He is life member of Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI) and Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA).  Dr. Neeraj Mishra is working as Professor and Head Department of Pharmaceutics  in Amity Institute of Pharmacy Gwalior since July 2019. He has around twenty years of teaching and research experience.  He has more than 100 publications of International and National repute in recent concepts of novel drug delivery systems localized drug delivery targeted and controlled drug delivery of nanocarriers/ microparticles for the treatment of breast colon cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. Dr. Mishra more than 3500 citations with h- index 30. The total cumulative Impact Factor of his published papers is more than 300 (as per SCOPUS). He has also written 10 Books and 25 book chapters for different publishers. He has also been granted 3 international patents and 2 Indian patents.  Dr. Mishra is recipient of Distinguished Professor Award 2019 from DST-NSTMIS SPAICS Indore and M.P. in September 2019.  Dr. Mishra has also received the Outstanding Scientist Award ' 2020 6th International Scientist Awards on Engineering Science and Medicine 20-21 June 2020 Chennai India. Dr. Mishra has received the Distinguished Professor Award ' 2021 from Indian Pharmaceutical Association MP State Branch Indore.  Dr Mishra has received Best Academician Award in the Indian Pharmacy Graduate Association M.P. State International Conference held on 06th May 2023 at DAVV Auditorium Indore India. Dr. Mishra got place in Stanford University Scientists Rankings conducted by AD Scientific Index - World Scientists Rankings 2024 and 2022.
