Leonid Dorfman has been permanently affiliated with Perm State Institute of Culture Perm Russia since 1982 where he is Distinguished Professor. He was awarded a PhD degree in 1981 and a DSc in 1994. He has published 479 papers has been co-editor of 13 collections and has authored five textbooks. Pavel Machotka studied at the University of Chicago and Harvard University USA where he was awarded a PhD in Social Psychology. Between 1970 and 2000 he taught at the University of California Santa Cruz USA as Emeritus Professor of Psychology. His six books discuss various topics on the arts.Vladimir Petrov was awarded a PhD degree in 1968 and a DSc in 1993. He is Associate Professor at the University of California Santa Cruz. For 20 years he was Vice President of the International Association of Empirical Aesthetics and he has more than 800 publications to his credit including 15 monographs.
