Jessica Berman is Professor of English and Director of the Dresher Center for the Humanities at the University of Maryland Baltimore County USA. She is the author of Modernist Commitments: Ethics Politics and Transnational Modernism (2011) and Modernist Fiction Cosmopolitanism and the Politics of Community (2001) and coeditor of Virginia Woolf Out of Bounds: Selected Papers from the 10th Annual Conference on Virginia Woolf (2001). She is also coeditor of the Modernist Latitudes book series and second vicepresident of the Modernist Studies Association to succeed to vicepresident (201516) and president (201617).
