About

Lavinia Bracci is Founder and Director of Siena Italian Studies and the International Center for Intercultural Exchange. She has recently co-authored several publications on the FICCS and EUFICCS instructional approaches that she invented with her team of researchers as well as research on the Reflective Intercultural Competence Assessment (RICA) Model. Lavinia and her team''s research has been presented at numerous conferences in Asia North America and Europe and has gained recognition from the European Commission''s Lifelong Learning Programme. Nevin C. Brown is a Senior Fellow with the International Center for Intercultural Exchange in Siena Italy. Before assuming this role he was President of the International Partnership for Service-Learning and Leadership (IPSL) a US-based organization that provides academic and community service study-abroad opportunities for students in several nations worldwide. He has also held senior staff positions in several US-based postsecondary organizations. Brown has been a member of the governing boards of the Urban Affairs Association the National History Education Network and the Colleges and Universities of the Anglican Communion. He also co-chaired the European Links Committee for the Urban Affairs Association from 1995 to 2003 through which he was involved in the creation of the European Urban Research Association (EURA).Eliza J. Nash is currently the Intercultural Development Coordinator at the International Center for Intercultural Exchange and oversees the development and implementation of educational programs events and conferences. Eliza has co-authored and co-edited articles and publications of the International Center for Intercultural Exchange including most recently the 2011 and 2012 Intercultural Horizons conference proceedings and is a Board Member of the Society for Intercultural Education Training and Research (SIETAR) in Italy.
