About

Marques L. A. Garrett is Associate Professor of Choral Studies at the University of North Texas. He is an accomplished vocalist and composer with his works available through several publishers and performed by festival/honor all-state professional and college/university choirs such as the Los Angeles Master Chorale and the Oakwood University Aeolians. He regularly serves as a choral clinician and guest conductor for festival and honor choirs throughout the United States. He is an active researcher with published articles and presentations on the choral music of Black composers and rehearsal techniques for state regional and national conferences. Edryn J. Coleman is a choral music educator and conductor with many years of experience teaching music at elementary middle-school high-school and college level. He has presented sessions for numerous professional organizations and school systems including appearances at national ACDA conferences on topics such as accessibility in choral music. He holds a strong personal commitment to diversity and equality in music education. He currently teaches chamber choir concert choir and piano at Oakland Mills High School in Columbia MD and serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Maryland Baltimore Country (UMBC) and as the conductor for the Prince George's County Choral Society.
