About

Alexander L'Estrange (b. 1974) is a musician of outstanding versatility. Not only does his Oxford choral background shine through in his works so too does his eclectic taste in music which includes jazz pop music theatre and world music. As a musician who enjoys collaborating with acappella groups choirs and choral societies L'Estrange has worked on a number of pieces with the likes of Tenebrae The Swingle Singers National Youth Music Theatre countless cathedral choirs school and community choirs and choral societies worldwide. More recently he has worked on Zimbe! his 40-minute African-inspired work that incorporates several of his influences into one piece. The success of this was so large that within 2 years of publication more than 50 performances had been lined up internationally. A musician that is famed for constantly exploring new musical fields L'Estrange has quickly and deservedly gained acclaim from both critics and fellow musicians.
