Parkinson''''s disease (PD) is the second most common neurodegenerative disorder and is caused by degeneration and dysfunction of dopaminergic neurons in substantia nigra. The disease usually clinically starts at age 54-60 and the mean duration from diagnosis to death is about 15 years.
