About Behzad Heidari
Dr Behzad Heidari is a Professor of Medicine at Babol University of Medical Sciences Iran. He earned his medical degree from Tehran University of Medical Sciences Iran in 1972 and completed his residency there in 1978. Over a 25-year career he has authored over 200 research articles and a book on rheumatic diseases in Farsi. Dr Heidari has also served on the editorial board of the Caspian Journal of Medicine and was its editor for two years. A founding member of the Mobility Impairment Research Center he has supervised over 50 postgraduate theses and led numerous clinical research projects. He was recognized as the senior researcher at Babol University for five consecutive years and has been honored by Iran's Ministry of Health for his contributions to medical science and education.
