About Victoriya P. Yurchnik

This collection of articles created by students and young academics and scientific results obtained from the experiments and monitoring made on board the tall ship Nadezhda would not be possible without the main academic advisor Dr Oleg A. Bukin. His great interest in Laser Optics and Earth Sciences drove him to combine these scientific fields in order to research the possibilities of climate change control. In the 90s he organized and brought to life a Sailing University on board the ship Nadezhda belonging to the Maritime State University and named after Admiral G. I. Nevelskoy (from Vladivostok in Russia). The Sailing University carries out a unique combination of scientific research and education. It is one of the best ways to prepare a highly qualified young generation of researchers for work in the future.
