About Carol Thompson

Carol Thompson is one of Britains leading illustrators with an international following and especially admired for her expressive yet realistic depiction of children and animals. Following a degree in Fashion and Printed Textiles from De Montfort University she opted to become a freelance illustrator and designer. Her many picture books and board books for young children have been published all over the world. For Otter-Barry Books she has illustrated Dianne Hofmeyrs My Daddy is a Silly Monkey and Storm Dragon. Carol is a committee member of IBBY (UK) with a particular involvement in the IBBY Disability List. She lives near Leicester UK.
