About

Laila Sumpton is an Associate Writer at Spread the Word and runs poetry projects in hospitals schools parks museums and libraries. She performs her work regularly and is working on her first collection The Stampless which Arachne Press will be publishing in June 2022. Previous poems have been performed at the Solstice Shorts Festival in three years and are published by Arachne Press in Solstice Shorts anthologies Dusk Noon and Tymes goe by Turnes. Sandra A Agard has been a Professional Storyteller Writer Cultural Historian Literary Consultant Resident Writer/Reader and Creative Writing Faciliator for over forty years. Born in Hackney London to Guyanese Parents; her storytelling cultural and literary backgrounds are steeped within the African African-Caribbean Oral and Traditions blended with the Black British perspective. Sandras work has appeared in many poetry and short story anthologies and she has scripted plays that have have been performed at The Royal Court Drill Hall and Lyric Theatre Hammersmith.
