Kiernan Ryan (Foreword) is Emeritus Professor of English Literature at Royal Holloway University of London an Emeritus Fellow of Murray Edwards College University of Cambridge and an Honorary Senior Research Fellow of the Shakespeare Institute Stratford-upon-Avon.
