About Julius Omona

Julius Omona was born on 1 April 1962 in Uganda. He is now an Associate Professor Department of Social Work and Social Administration Makerere University Uganda. He obtained a bachelor's degree in Social Work and Social Administration from Makerere University in 1987; a master's degree in Development Studies from the Institute of Social Studies The Netherlands (1999) and a doctorate in Public Policy and Management from Victoria University Wellington New Zealand in 2004. He has extensively researched and published in the areas of civil society post-conflict disabilities education and vulnerability in general. He is a member of many international and professional associations. He is an external examiner in many International and local Universities a peer reviewer for many Journals a Board member of many local civil society actors and the founder of an indigenous NGO Anaka Foundation that empowers communities in northern Uganda.
