This is not meant to be just a history book. Yes, the facts and figures are here, but I try to put some meat on the bones and look at the matches with the view from the Leazes End...and also from the 'away end' at some rather exotic places across the North Sea. I have seen Newcastle play in 18 countries myself, and I've spoken to fans that travelled in the 1960's and 1970's, and I have used their experiences in an effort to give you a different perspective of the games...hopefully in a way that has not been published before.
