About

Stephanie Rohr holds a BFA from Drake University and an MA from University of the Arts London. She started her cross-stitch design business stephXstitch in 2010 (stephXstitch.com). Her designs juxtapose traditional motifs with modern sentiments ranging from curse words to cheeky sayings and from memes to feminist slogans. Stephanies first book Feminist Cross-Stitch was published in 2019. Her designs have been featured in Cross-Stitcher Craft Business and Cross-Stitch Crazy magazines Huffington Post Good Housekeeping Bust and more. She also teaches in-person cross-stitch classes and speaks about craftivism and craft business. Stephanie lives in Chicago.
