Towards Good Schools - The Challenge of Teaching

English

By (author): Bev Woodger

Towards Good Schools and the Challenge of Teaching provides an interesting introduction for new and potential teachers of some of the non- academic aspects of teaching that might help them improve the ethos of their school based on the experiences of a now retired teacher, including some hints on managing a classroom.

It also highlights some of the problems teachers face in the classroom that need to be tackled at a national level and which have been ignored far too long.

The book is a good primer for any that are new to the profession, want to find out more about it or have an interest in what their children are facing. It highlights the short comings in some schools and presents a challenge to politicians to get their act together
