About The Brothers Grimm

Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm also known as The Brothers Grimm lived and wrote in Germany in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries gathering oral folk tales and publishing them to preserve their cultural history.Fritz Kredel learned his art studying under German master Rudolf Koch. At the time Stackpole published the 1937 edition Kredel was considered the greatest living wood-cut artist and ideally suited by talent and training to illustrate the Grimms'' classic.
