About Marion Lewis

Marion Lewis was born in Iqaluit Nunavut. She has lived in communities throughout the Arctic including Qikitarjuaq Watson Lake Yukon and Inuvik. Marion was introduced to the imaginative and beautiful world of Inuit traditional stories while studying at the Nunavut Teacher Education Program in Iqaluit. That introduction sparked Marions love for storytelling and inspired her to write Kaugjagjuk her first book. Kim Smith has worked in magazines advertising animation and childrens gaming. She studied illustration at the Alberta College of Art and Design in Calgary Alberta where she currently resides.
