Helen Fairbairn is a full-time writer of outdoor activity guides. Her books include Northern Ireland: A Walking Guide (2012) Dublin & Wicklow: A Walking Guide (2014) Ireland's Best Walks (2014) and Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way: A Walking Guide (2016). She has also written Lonely Planet guidebooks to the Rocky Mountains and the European Alps.
