Secret Buenos Aires

English

By (author): Hernan Firpo

A statue denouncing corruption, a palatial allegory of Dante s Divine Comedy, an exceptional psychedelic private museum, a monument to a police dog, Garcia Lorca s room at the Castelar Hotel, the toilets of a bar where the acoustics were exceptional, reminders of an attempted coup, a dome worthy of Gaudi ...Far from the crowds and the usual cliches, Buenos Aires hides its treasures well, only revealing them to residents and travellers who wander off the beaten track. An indispensable guide for those who thought they knew the city well or would like to discover its alternative face. See more

About Hernan Firpo

Valeria Sampedro Born in Mataderos grew up in Paternal and came alive in San Telmo. As a girl she played hopscotch on the Cortazar Bridge. She studied journalism in a classroom and became a reporter in the street. She can travel throughout the entire city along bike trails but she prefers taxis. She has yet to dance a tango. Hernan Firpo Hernan Firpo was born a very very long time ago. He began his life in the Caballito neighbourhood eventually gravitating to Palermo. He considers beaches and mountains exotic locations and is one of those sedentary people who only take holidays in the summer. He was enthusiastic about the idea of an unusual secret guide to his city. Until now the only secret I knew was how to remove stains using bicarbonate of soda.
