About
Dr Korenis is the Associate Program Director for Psychiatry Residency Training at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center. She is an active medical educator who has developed curricula and didactics for all levels of psychiatric training. Dr. Korenis is an Assistant Professor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and has served as Chair of the Young Physician's Section of the Bronx County Medical Society member of the Cross Cultural Issues in Forensic Psychiatry for the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law and Delegate for the American Academy of Adolescent Psychiatry. She completed her undergraduate degree from Queen's University Kingston Ontario and went on to graduate medical school from St. George's University School of Medicine. She graduated residency from Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center and completed a forensic psychiatry fellowship at New York University School of Medicine. Her areas of interest include acute management in the inpatient psychiatric setting as well as forensic issues in the psychiatric population. She is originally from Westport Ontario daughter of Stavros and Georgia Korenis and has one brother Ioannis Korenis. She is currently living with her husband Dr. Ryan Rios a Neuroradiologist in Westchester County New York and together they have one son Joshua.
