Siyahamba
English
Siyahamba is one of the best-known African worship songs of recent times. It is presented here in a (mostly) homophonic arrangement that contrasts unison singing with three-part harmonies. As with lots of African, folk and gospel music, three notes cover all the necessary harmonies, but you can have lots of fun once you know the arrangement by adding more of your own, for example ''''doubling'''' at other octaves to create a thicker texture. Siyahamba also features in L''''Estrange''''s hit cantata Zimbe! Come sing the songs of Africa.
