About
Prof. Panos Karagiorgos studied English and Greek literature at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Greece and at the Shakespeare Institute at Birmingham University UK where he received a PhD for his work on the Greek translations of Shakespeares works. His publications include An English-Greek Dictionary of Idiomatic Expressions; Shakespeare Studies; Confusing Words in English; Landmarks in English Literature; and Anglo-Hellenic Cultural Relations among others in addition to various translations from English and American literature. Professor Karagiorgos is a member of the National Association of Greek Writers the Hellenic Corporation of Literature Translators the Greek Byron Society and a life member of the International Lawrence Durrell Society.
