Christology and Global Ethics: Encountering the Poor in a Pluralist Reality
English
By (author): Alexandre A. Martins
Christology and Global Ethics offers a comprehensive approach to Christology that combines the Bible, theology, and ethics, and presents a dynamic understanding of faith in Jesus that embodies it ethically in reality. It demonstrates how different areas of theology, including theological bioethics, are related and form a unity around the mystery of Christ and the faith experience of a Christian community. It provides an excellent introduction to theological studies and method.

Much depends on Luke 4:1630 in Alexandre A. Martins's Christology and Global Ethics. In the introduction, he calls it not only this book's 'central biblical text,' but also adds that he has made an existential choice to live his life based on this proclamation of Jesus.
from the foreword
Christology and Global Ethics provides prophetic and provocative perspectives on Jesus of Nazareth, the power of the Holy Spirit, the moral agency of the poor and forgotten, and ethical imperatives for the world church today. A must read for missionary disciples!
